I was born on October 27,1958, to Mr. and Mrs. Van
Ray
Bowman, in Gulfport, Mississippi. I had a sister

who was 2 1/2 years older. By the time I was two, my
parents had separated and gotten a divorce. At the
young age of two I remember my father kneeling down,
telling my sister and me that he would not be living
with us any more, but that he would be seeing us
